One of the best projects I’ve come across in a long, long time. 76 tracks by some frankly amazing artists (from Grind to experimental electronica) for 5£ (or more). All proceeds go to charity projects that work with people with disabilities. People with disabilities are still constantly and systematically being marginalised and segregated, so places and institutions like The Gate and Small Step make all the difference in the world. You can read more and download the compilation (featuring contributions by bands like Acid Mothers Temple, Black Shape Of Nexus, Gnod, Goat, Hacker Farm, Alexander Tucker and others) on Bandcamp. The project is dedicated to Peter Kemp. You can read more about him, the projects in question and the ideas behind them on Rarely Unable‘s Facebook page. Lots of love and respect to everyone involved in this! As someone who grew up with a disabled brother and has worked with people with disabilities, I can’t stress enough how important this is.
